As a first time buyer I was very green in the process of buying a place and found Kevin - the agent who I originally viewed another property with to be so down to earth and easy going. After a disappointing viewing at a different property, he recommended another that the agency had on their books and we arranged a viewing for the following week. Kevin offered advice and answered questions about the property - getting answers from the vendor and telephoning me back within the hour to ensure the opportunity remained fresh and all parties kept up to speed. Kevin reached out to advise he was moving on to another role but I'm so pleased he helped me through the start of the process and managed my offer, a true gent. The process continued and went without hitch. On the day of completion I picked up the keys from the Acorn office. Once I got to the property I had some concerns and sent an email to the agency that evening. First thing the next day, Richard the agency director was on the phone to me and genuinely wanted to help resolve each of them. Estate agents get a bad rep as they're "just looking for a sale", but Richard's attitude and energy couldn't have been further from the truth. My concerns were remedied and furthermore, knowing I can reach out to the agency to ask for dependable local trades people they can recommend only further emphasises what a solid service they offer for those who have bought locally. All in all, a great experience for a somewhat nervous and bit clueless first time buyer. When it comes time to sell, I wouldn't hesitate in considering Acorn as the listing agent.
Switched to Acorn after working with another agent for some time that wasn't getting me anywhere with my flat sale, and it was like night and day. Proactive, communicative, much much higher cadence of viewings than I had before. They also have a fair and simple fee structure. Max Smith was my main agent and he was excellent to collaborate with, but everyone I liaised with at the office was very helpful and 'on it'. Would definitely recommend.
A huge thanks to Kevin who helped us purchase our first home. He was extremely efficient with great communication. He helped make a difficult process a lot easier by being very dedicated and proactive. Would highly recommend!

They listened attentively to my stressful situation and told me no need to stress they’ll deal with it. Instantly I felt calm and relaxed They all listened attentively and dealt with it in a professional manner. Adam then said he’ll deal with contacting someone to visit the flat and prepare what’s required, he did it in target time Adam straight away contacted the service providers for both surveys and made all appointments, he did so in target time. Richard kept reassuring me everything will be alright no need to stress he said to me in that comforting voice of his they’ll sort it. Max then rang my solicitor's secretary to assist me with further enquiries, which she told him to send me down straight away. I will like to say a Big Thank you to the three members of staff at the Catford Branch they are an asset to Acorn Estate Agent. They are all very proactive, Fast thinking and work well as a Team. Thanks to all members of staff I’ve dealt with at Lewisham, Catford and Yousef who is now at Crystal Palace, all during my long running 20 years with Acorn.
